Meet the Team
Dr. Kara Williams
Dr. Kara Williams grew up in Dixon, IL. Having struggled with bad eyes as a child, she developed an interest in optometry at an early age. She received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Bradley University in Peoria, IL. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she was also named valedictorian of her class.
After working in both retail and ophthalmology practices, Dr. Williams opened Bright Eyes Family Vision in 2015. It is her mission to create an unforgettable experience for each patient by providing unparalleled customer service, exceptional patient education, superior product quality and the best eye health care possible.
Dr. Williams is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and knitting. She also enjoys providing eye care to under-served populations through mission trips
Brian
Brian serves our practice as office manager. He has over twenty years of retail sales and management experience. He enjoys working with the public and loves to help personalize the right product for each customer. His main goal is to ensure each patient has the best experience in our office.
Brian is originally from Beloit, WI. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.

Maisie
Maisie was recently rescued by Dr. Williams and has turned out to be a great addition to our team. She's a 6 year old mini Australian Shepherd. Although she's new to the optical industry, her calm, friendly demeanor adds to our family-oriented environment. She loves coming to say hi to patients of all ages, especially when she gets belly rubs. If you're not a dog person, she won't be offended if you ask us to keep her in the back office.
When she's not hanging out at the office, Maisie enjoys taking long naps and cuddling on the couch.
