Healthy Foods for the Holidays

November is Diabetes Awareness Month - if you have diabetes, you are at a higher risk for blinding eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and glaucoma. We encourage you to stay aware of the risks and what you can do to manage them year-round.

You should have a dilated eye exam at least once a year, though we may recommend more frequent exams depending on your health. Don’t worry - this process is painless and quick. We administer eye drops to dilate your pupils, allowing us to take a look inside the eye for problems. We may also take pictures of your eye in order to view the retina.
